PowerBall Number Update increases to $725 million

Powerball reward increases to an anticipated $725 million following Monday's lack of jackpot winners.

Following Monday's Powerball drawing, there were no jackpot winners, and the top reward increased to an estimated $725 million, making it the seventh-largest Powerball jackpot ever.

The big reward, which according to Powerball has an estimated lump-sum cash value of $366.2 million before taxes, will be drawn again on Wednesday.

The winning numbers on Monday were 2, 24, 34, 53, 58, as well as the red Powerball 13.

After the drawing, however, there were still winners. Two tickets, one purchased in California and the other in Iowa, both had all five white balls match. The California ticket won $1 million, and the Iowa ticket, which had the Power Play feature, won $2 million.

According to Powerball, 28 tickets won prizes of $50,000, while 12 tickets won prizes of $100,000.

There hasn't been a significant winner in 35 straight lotteries.

In San Lorenzo, California, Kavanagh Liquors has blank Powerball slips on display.

The Powerball jackpot for Saturday's drawing has increased to $615 million, making it the 10th-highest sum ever.

On April 19, a lottery winner in Ohio won a grand prize of $252.6 million after matching all five of the white balls and the red Powerball.

On November 7, California claimed the $2.04 billion top Powerball jackpot ever.

This week's top lottery payouts include prizes other than the Powerball. According to its website, the estimated value of the current Mega Millions jackpot is $480 million.

Tuesday at 11 p.m. ET, the Mega Millions lottery will be drawn.
