The 2023 Concacaf Gold Cup semifinal between Mexico and Jamaica is scheduled for Wednesday night. The winner advances to Sunday's championship game.

Mexico defeated Costa Rica 2-0 in the quarterfinals, while Jamaica overcame Guatemala 1-0. Mexicans finished first in Group B after winning two of their three games, followed by Jamaica in Group A, who also won two games and drew with the United States in the tournament's first match.

Orbelin Pineda and Luis Romo of Mexico have scored two goals each in their team's first four Gold Cup matches, and Demarai Gray of Jamaica, who plays for Everton in the Premier League, has also scored twice.

Mexico has won the competition 11 times, including three times while it was the CONCACAF Cup and eight times during the Gold Cup era. Jamaica lost to Mexico in the final of 2015 and the United States in the final of 2017 to finish second.

On Sunday, the winner will compete against either Panama or the United States.
